This wireless integrated smoke detector is perfect to use alongside the Essence unit due to if a fire is detected, the smoke alarm will alert the call centre that can/will contact the fire service. The smoke detector is set up to detect local temperature measurements and extreme temperature alerts, it has a test/mute button and has a visual indicator to let you know what is happening, RED: Smoke detected, green for power status on, yellow for low batt/chamber degradation.

This item can be added on to either the Monitoring Only package or the Monitoring and Response Package for an additional monthly charge of £6.18.

Who can qualify for VAT exemption?

You may be eligible if you are chronically sick or disabled. You do not need to be registered disabled or receiving other benefits to qualify.

You’re considered chronically sick or disabled if

You have a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term and substantial adverse effect on your ability to carry out everyday activities
You have a condition the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness (a long-term health condition)

What are the exceptions?

You are not eligible for VAT relief if your condition is temporary (such as a broken leg) or if you are elderly without a chronic condition.
