Don’t worry — false alarms are completely normal and nothing to be embarrassed about. In fact, around 40% of the calls we take each month are from accidental button presses. Our team is always happy to hear from you, even if it’s a mistake. It also reassures you (and us) that your alarm is working correctly. We’ll simply check you’re okay and end the call.
No, you do not need WIFI or a landline, all our devices are digital and have their own sim card.
Am I exempt from VAT?
Some customers may be eligible for VAT relief when purchasing Carecall247 services.
VAT exemption refers to the government tax relief scheme that allows people with a disability or long-term medical condition to purchase emergency alarm systems without paying VAT.

You may be eligible if you are chronically sick or disabled. You do not need to be registered disabled or receiving other benefits to qualify.
- You have a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term and substantial adverse effect on your ability to carry out everyday activities
- You have a condition the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness (a long-term health condition)

You are not eligible for VAT relief if your condition is temporary (such as a broken leg) or if you are elderly without a chronic condition.
